Questions
we get asked.

Straight answers on what free.studio is, how membership works, what it costs, and how to start something with us.

01

What is free.studio?

free.studio is an independent creative partnership with studios in Melbourne and London. High-quality humans, hand-picked for the work. Bespoke teams assembled for each project. No overhead, no politics, no traditional agency structure.

02

How does the membership model work?

Members fund the studio; clients fund the work. Practitioners pay a membership that covers the studio's running costs, which means client fees buy craft rather than overhead. Teams are cast project by project from the partnership.

03

How is free.studio different from a traditional agency?

No permanent payroll padding your invoice. No stacked hierarchies. You get the people you meet — the ones who actually do the work. The structure removes the economics that make traditional agencies slow and expensive.

04

What does membership cost?

Melbourne membership is $300 AUD/month — month-to-month, no lock-in. London membership is £250/month on the current opening offer — standard rate £450/month. Limited spots.

05

Who are the free-folk?

A partnership of 19 senior practitioners across strategy, creative, technology, PR and production. Former leaders from DDB, M&C Saatchi, BBH, McCann, WCRS, VCCP, Range Rover and Meta among them. Every one findable, with full credentials, at free.studio/free-folk.

06

Where does free.studio operate?

Studios in Melbourne and London, working with clients across Australia, the UK and globally. The Melbourne studio opened in 2025; the London chapter opened in May 2026.

07

How do I start a project or join?
